  An unassuming tavern in a small town on the outskirts of Algonquin park that turned out to be one of the most authentic and warm dining experiences of our trip in Canada. Excellent service and incredible polish grub! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

  My friends all went for rainbow trout which was a huge portion topped with chopped almonds which they all enjoyed.

  Warm, welcoming atmosphere. The trout dish with wild rice & spring mix salad was done right..moist & flavourful My other dining partners very much enjoyed the special, Chicken Bruschetta. If you're there on a live music night, you can easily dance the night away

  Service was a little slow because of the popularity of the band and only 2 servers, but they're friendly and welcoming. Will be back when the band isn't scheduled to see what the service is like.

  Wilno Tavern is one of my favourite local restaurants! The service is always efficient and friendly even when the place is packed. The food, its consistently delicious. The portions are large and the prices are fair. The best time to go is on a Tuesday night that is blues night and there is a live band!

  Best time to come for sure is when the buffet is on but even if it isn't, the array of amazing Polish food is still incredible. It beats places in Toronto. Seriously.

  If it wasn't so far from the hotel, would go there every night but 45-60 minutes one way on the highway in the country is not a good thing at my age.

  And Tuesday nights a live band performs the blues mostly and they were surprisingly good but our table was right in front of them so I found the amps were pretty loud. Loved the music but not the volume.

  Great food with a mixed selection of Polish dishes and Canadian. The soup was the star of my meal followed by a platter of cabbage rolls and pierogi. The latter were filled with mashed potatoes and there were mashed potatoes as the side, so that was unexpected, but the cabbage rolls were amazing and topped with a really nice deep red tomato sauce.
